Around twenty tractors and dozens of farmers demonstrated outside the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Tuesday to question the MEPs meeting in plenary session. Two separate demonstrations were organised by French farmers unions: one by the Coordination Rurale, to condemn the import of products that are not subject to the same standards as in France, and the other by the Confederation Paysanne, opposed to the "new GMOs".
