Description
"It can predict anything from where you have training data", sums up Sune Lehmann, professor at DTU (Denmark's technical university) who has modelled an algorithm that predicts the stages of life right up to the end. Much more than a "death calculator", the algorithm can, with an accuracy of over 70%, predict death or migrations. The model, which is based on data collected by the Danish National Statistical Institute, is not to be put on the market as it is biased and could be discriminatory, experts warn. It is, however, a counterweight to the algorithms developed by major companies. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
