Description
A mosque in the Greek city of Thessaloniki hosts prayers for Eid al-Fitr for the first time in 102 years. Amidst a large police presence, around 100 people attend prayers at the northern city's Yeni mosque, after Greek authorities announced it would reopen as a place of worship. The Greek population is overwhelmingly Orthodox Christian, and until fairly recently the Muslim community had no official place of worship except in the north-eastern region of Greece.
