Description
At a centuries-old English country house, one of Britain's most eccentric cultural events -– the Dalemain World Marmalade Awards -- celebrates the quintessentially British fruit preserve. Around 3,000 entries were received for the multiple categories of the 2024 competition, now in its 19th year, with jars arriving from as far afield as Hawaii, Japan, Taiwan and Australia. "The first time we entered, I entered one jar and got a silver. And that was me hooked," says one 73-year-old entrant who took home three silvers, one bronze and a merit.
