FILE of the 2010-2011 post-electoral unrest in Ivory Coast, after fourteen bodies of people killed during that crisis were handed over by the government to their families at a ceremony in Abidjan. In 2010, the presidential election victory of Alassane Ouattara, who is still in power, was contested by the outgoing Laurent Gbagbo, and led to several months of violence that left around 3,000 people dead on both sides.
