Description
More than a thousand demonstrators gather in Paris to express their rejection of the far right party Rassemblement National (RN) and urge a "popular front", as the leader of France's traditional right-wing party backed an alliance with the far right of Marine Le Pen in snap legislative elections, triggering a crisis within his own party and fury from the government.
"(Emmanuel Macron) claims to be the roadblock to the Rassemblement National. I don't know, for 10 years he has been telling us he is the roadblock, but it goes up and up. I guess it's not working", protester John Mullen told AFP. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
