Algerians react to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's intention to seek a second term in an election set for September. Tebboune, 78, was elected in 2019 with 58 percent of the vote, following months of pro-democracy protests. "We hope that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune will improve the country's situation. We hope he will improve our living conditions," says 28-year-old day labourer Farid. Ibrahim, a 52-year-old shopkeeper, remarks, "We have stability and security, and that's what people are asking for." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
