An outbreak of a new type of Bluetongue virus, a potentially fatal disease in sheep, has been detected in France on a sheep farm in the north of the country, causing concern among farmers. The outbreak, "confirmed on August 5" by the health agency ANSES on a sheep farm in Marpent (Nord), on the border with Belgium, is the first in France of this new serotype. STOCKSHOTS
