From 2027 French schoolchildren will be required to obtain their middle school (collège, Eds.) certificate to be given access to high school, announces France's education minister Anne Genetet. Passing the middle school 'Brevet' will become compulsory in order to move on to high school "from the 2027 session", declares Genetet at a press conference on the sidelines of her visit to the Pierre de Ronsard secondary school in L'Haÿ-les-Roses in the Val-de-Marne department to the east of Paris.
