Protesters rally in Edinburgh as two environmental groups kicked off a legal challenge in Scotland to block the Rosebank and Jackdaw oil and gas fields in the North Sea. Campaign groups Uplift and Greenpeace have brought judicial reviews at the Court of Session in Edinburgh, arguing that the government illegally granted operators permission to exploit the fields. "There are thousands and thousands of us across the UK who want to see this field stopped," says Uplift campaigner Lauren MacDonald. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
