Description
In a village in southern Syria, residents have come face to face with Israeli soldiers in recent days, as Israel has sent troops into the United Nations-patrolled buffer zone in the Golan Heights, and beyond, after Islamist-led rebels toppled President Bashar al-Assad, in a move widely condemned internationally. "The issue merits a stand by the Syrians. Instead of celebrating at Umayyad Square... they should come here and stand with bare chests to confront this Israeli terrorist occupation," says Yassin Al-Ali, a 43-year-old resident of the town of Madinat al-Baath in the Quneitra province.
