Czech bellmaker Petr Rudolf Manousek's travelling carillon has been touring Europe on a truck for over two decades, with this year's stops including Christmas markets. The 68-year-old created the instrument in 2001, and it has since played over 620 concerts. "It is all controlled mechanically. There are no electronic components or boosters, so the player on the keyboard can control the dynamics," says Manousek in Karlstejn. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
