The Collective of Sons and Descendants of Senegalese Riflemen criticises comments made by Cheikh Oumar Diagne, Minister for Administration and Equipment at the Presidency, regarding Senegalese Riflemen. Diagne called the Riflemen "traitors" in an interview with a local television station. "We demand the dismissal of Cheikh Omar Diagne from his duties at the Presidency of the Republic and his banishment from all public office," says Babacar Gaye from the collective, which has filed a complaint with the public prosecutor.
