Description
In Bizanos, in the French Pyrenees, a workshop is making the last of the traditional wooden skis. In 2015, Jack Fauvel set himself the crazy challenge of reviving the manufacture of wooden skis. Today, he produces around a hundred unique skis a year. In order to share his knowledge, he opens his workshop to the public so that they can make their own wooden skis. With its blend of ecology, heritage and local craftsmanship, the Villacampa brand is trying to make its mark on the top end of the ski market. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
