Skilled electrical technicians from EU countries including France have arrived in Ireland to help the Irish electricity network ESB repair faulty and fallen power lines after Storm Eowyn caused unprecedented, widespread and extensive damage last week in remote parts of the EU country. More than 100,000 customers remain without power. As well as the 49-strong team of French engineers from the Enedis firm, technicians from Austria and Finland, as well as the from the United Kingdom are also on the ground in the worst impacted areas.
