Syrian Kurds hold up flags bearing portrait of Abdullah Ocalan, leader of the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) jailed in Turkey since February 15, 1999, during a rally calling for his release in the Kurdish-majority city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria.
