Description
At the age of 55, Abdel Aziz Touil, a Moroccan stucco master craftsman, works at his workshop in Sale, but fears that the dwindling numbers of his peers and the lack of interest of the younger generations might make the craft extinct. "Today's young people do not have the capacity and patience to learn", he explains. Over the centuries, stucco has nevertheless been an essential element of Moroccan architecture. Originating from Marrakech and other regions of Morocco, this type of plaster combines lime and plaster to create unique works of mural art. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
