In the East Nile district of Sudan's war-ravaged capital Khartoum, Red Crescent workers clad in white protective suits pull bodies from a sewage pit and record them carefully. "I've witnessed rapes, I've witnessed people being tortured, I've seen everything from my house," says a woman living close to the pit where 15 bodies were recovered.
