Nikki Haley is trying to frame her Iowa and New Hampshire losses to Donald Trump as a victory. She has vowed to head off a “coronation” of Trump as the 2024 Republican nominee.
The path through the next states to vote, however, may not be any easier for her. Haley did perform better in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary than she had in the Iowa caucuses a week earlier.
She's not competing in next month's Nevada caucuses, and Trump has maintained significant support in her home state of South Carolina, which votes Feb. 24.
The super PAC supporting Haley says it expects to raise enough money to keep running ads and sending mailers over the next month.
