Description
A mural to honor Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who will be the first Black woman on the Supreme Court, is going up in Washington, D.C. Artist Nia Keturah Calhoun says the mural celebrates the historic moment and how Judge Jackson got here. Calhoun says the jagged shapes represent the glass ceilings Judge Jackson has shattered, and the mural includes Judge Jackson as a little girl with her dad and Constance Baker Motley, the first Black woman to become a federal judge.
