The 26-year-old man charged in last week's killing of UnitedHealthcare's CEO in New York City was taken into court in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
Luigi Nicholas Mangione Manhattan was arrested Monday after a worker at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania, notified police that he resembled the suspect in the killing last Wednesday of Brian Thompson.
In court papers made public Tuesday, a detective reiterated key findings in the investigation that he says tie Mangione to the killing. Police say that when Mangione was arrested, he had on him a gun like the one used in the attack, as well as handwritten writings expressing anger at corporate America.
