Description
Central Ohio saw the first snow of the season on Thursday and cold temperatures will linger into Friday morning, causing a slick commute.
Accumulations were on the light side on Thursday, generally less than 1/2", with a couple of locations getting up to 1". With the recent warm stretch of weather, the ground temperatures are still above freezing which limited the snowfall accumulation.
There was a general lull in the precipitation overnight Thursday into Friday, but any moisture left on untreated surfaces likely froze over Friday morning. This is especially true of elevated ramps, bridges and overpasses, as they always freeze first. Use caution when traveling on Friday morning.
