Doppler radar shows a band of very heavy showers moving across the area right now. Heavy rain is expected before 9am, with a break in the showers around lunchtime.
A second round of showers appear likely as we get closer to sundown, albeit these won't be a strong!
Rain totals are likely to exceed 1.00" across the region today, with isolated pockets of over 1.00"+ possible.
Dry (but cloudy) weather is expected Friday, with sunshine returning Saturday.
Long range, models keep is dry through the weekend and into early next week, with showery weather returning by Tuesday/Wednesday of next week!
