Sean “Diddy” Combs made his first court appearance before Judge Arun Subramanian in Manhattan Thursday. Subramanian is expected to preside over Combs’ trial on sex trafficking charges. He has pleaded not guilty to charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking stemming from allegations dating back to 2008. Lawyers for the hip-hop powerbroker have been trying to get Combs freed on bail since his Sept. 16 arrest. Two judges have concluded he would be a danger to the community if he is freed. On Thursday, his attorneys requested for the judge to issue a gag order on the case. “We really want to put an end to all of the clowning that we see on the Internet. This is a serious proceeding with serious consequences. And all of us are addressing it, accordingly,” attorney Anthony Ricco told reporters after the hearing. When asked how he’s doing, Ricco said Combs was “doing fine" and making the most of a difficult situation.
