Former Trump White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham spoke at the Democratic convention in Chicago Tuesday night, telling the crowd she used to be a "true believer" who spent holidays with the Trump family, but now she's backing Harris. Grisham told Democratic delegates that Trump "mocks" his supporters behind closed doors and "has no empathy, no morals and no fidelity to the truth." She said she's backing Harris this November because the Democrat "tells the truth, she respects the American people and she has my vote." Grisham is one of several former Trump supporters and Republican voices who are addressing the convention this week. She was the former chief of staff and press secretary to Melania Trump before moving over in 2019 to become President Trump's press secretary and communications director. She resigned in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 attacks.
