Description
A small plane crash landed onto a golf course in Sacramento, California, coming to a rest next to the pro shop at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.
Some bleachers outside the pro shop helped buffer the crash.
The pilot, who had taken off from nearby McClellan Air Force Base, said he had complete mechanical failure when he about 400 feet in altitude, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
The pilot only suffered minor cuts and no one on the ground was injured, although it narrowly missed a bystander.
Crews cleaned up fuel which leaked from the plane,
The golf course was closed for the rest of the day but has since reopened.
