Description
Today will be the last day that we can guarantee dry weather. It’ll be very hot today and tomorrow, with highs 10-20 above normal.
Our attention quickly turns to a rather robust cold front that takes aim at central Ohio on Wednesday. This will trigger widespread rain and even the possibility of a severe thunderstorm or two.
We have issued an alert day on Wednesday ahead of the severe weather. A strong line of thunderstorms will push through the region Wednesday night, leading to the potential of damaging winds and hail. A tornado cannot be ruled out at this time, although that is unlikely based on current data.
Wednesday will be the wettest day of the week, followed by off-and-on rain chances through the rest of the week. A decent cool down will take place on Thursday following the front, but temps quickly rebound by the weekend.
Other than that, pollen levels will remain very high for the next 1-2 days but should subside a little following Wednesday’s rain.
