June 13, 1969 This was a big day for George Melton Robinson. Tomorrow will be Robinson’s 109th birthday and today several of his friends, and two of his daughters who live in the San Diego area, gave him a birthday party complete with a cake and a lot of reminiscing. Robinson was born in Missouri in 1860. He and his wife Jennie, who died in 1953, had ten children, all of whom are still alive. Robinson enjoys reasonably good health and entered the Casa Blanca Convalescent Center in Lemon Grove only a year ago.
