Description
July 18, 1957 Twenty young girls, ranging in age from 10 to 12, are busy these days at the Kate Sessions Elementary School in Pacific Beach rehearsing for the big fiesta pageant parade on the 27th of this month. The youngsters have been trained as pom-pom girls in outdoor classes at the school, and despite their young years, are considered as proficient as many older, high school girls. The local little leaguers were looking on twirling their bats. The pom-pom girls will lead off the parade, just ahead of the Bonham band.
