Students in the San Diego Unified School District celebrated Latinx Heritage month with a flag-raising, Mariachi performance, speeches, poems and inspirational stories. The district also invited several Latinx student clubs from various high schools to participate in a conference to promote Chicano unity and empowerment. These groups included MEChA, Cesar Chavez Service Club and more.
