For those who protect the United States, it’s only fitting they celebrate America's independence in a big way. While there are many ways to honor America's 248th birthday, gratitude for our freedom is at the forefront at Camp Pendleton.
"I am just incredibly thankful," David Oehlers said. "I feel a lot of us are patriotic and this is our one way to celebrate it and enjoy a day with our brothers and sisters who serve, and just enjoy a day at the beach."
Our United States Marines let freedom ring on July Fourth at Camp Pendleton's Del Mar Beach.
"I'm glad I'm able to do stuff like this, as well as be the future generation to keep this going per se," Oehlers added.
