There were about 4 thousand persons on hand at Sea World last night for the premiere showing of the new Shamu Goes Hollywood Show, starring Shamu the killer whale. The show was staged in Sea World’s new one and one half million-dollar stadium. A number of Hollywood celebrities arrived by boat for the show to avoid crossing a Teamster’s Union picket line. There had been some concern that the Hollywood performers would not cross the picket line to see the show. Many of the Hollywood stars made lasting impressions on Sea World by dipping their feet in wet cement. Stars attending included Debbie Reynolds, Steve Allen, Robert Wagner, Vincent Price and Tina Sinatra. Sea World Vice President john Campbell handed over a check for 10,000 dollars to Debbie for the Motion Picture relief fund during pre-show ceremonies that included the official dedication of the new Shamu arena.
