Description
The San Diego Unified School District is offering free summer camps for the fourth year. The "Level Up" program offers opportunities for students to explore activities outside of their regular academic school year, ranging from music to swimming. Students can even choose to go to the zoo. The school district says the program is meant to minimize the learning gap for students who face challenges throughout the school year. The district prioritizes registration for foster youth and students with disabilities. "Level Up" is offered at 49 elementary and middle schools. It will launch June 12 and run through Aug. 9, serving about 10,000 students.
