The San Diego Padres will play in front of a sold-out crowd Thursday, March 28 as the Friars take on the San Francisco Giants in their first game at home in Petco Park. While officially, the Padres have played two regular season games already against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Seoul, South Korea last week, this is their first game in the U.S.
The first pitch in the Padres home opener is at 1:10 p.m. with right-handed pitcher Yu Darvish taking the mound. There are a limited number of park passes still available in the newly renovated Gallagher Square. Gates to the park will open at 11:00 a.m.
