Description
One person is in custody after a brazen theft at a Public Storage facility in Lemon Grove.
Several thieves broke into over three dozen units and stole thousands of dollars worth of valuables. The burglary took place overnight on Wednesday, December 6 just after 8:00 p.m. through Thursday, December 7 just before 3:30 a.m.
“It’s all gone. It was just so normal for them," said one victim, Matthew Rosenberg.
Surveillance video shows the moment thieves walk away with thousands of items belonging to Rosenberg and his partner, Dina Chan.
“I’ve been crying on and off for the last couple days," Rosenberg said. "It’s not just material possessions, a lot of the stuff holds special meaning to me and us. A lot of keepsakes that we bought each other, there’s some family items in there that date back when I was born."
The video the couple shared with CBS 8 only shows some of the people involved, including a child.
