Two men were shot in Chula Vista Tuesday afternoon, officials say. One died after he was transported to the hospital. According to Chula Vista police, an officer was flagged down by a white Jeep around 5:33 p.m. on Broadway and Palomar St. The driver of the Jeep yelled to the officer that he and the passenger had been shot. The driver did not have life-threatening injuries. The passenger, police said, was unconscious and not breathing.
