Description
The heat will be more noticeable inland and across the mountains, with the upper 70s to low 80s back in the forecast through the start of next week. The desert will receive the biggest warm-up, with the 90s returning for the first time this year.
Models hint at another low-pressure system, strong enough to break down the ridge, moving through by mid-next week. This system will be colder with strong gusty winds. A countywide cool down will lead to a 15 to 20-degree drop in temperatures from Monday compared to Thursday. There is also a chance for spotty showers Thursday and Friday next week as the low closes in on the region.
