Description
A San Diego county-wide initiative is aiming to protect water quality in our region. It's called "Dude! Be cool. Don't dump."
The public education campaign by "Project Clean Water" is aimed at raising awareness about what dumping is and the positive impacts properly disposing of waste has on our communities.
"Project Clean Water" partnered with "I Love A Clean San Diego" to address barriers and provide a centralized point of access with information about dumping, where to take unwanted items and alternative options to getting rid of waste.
The organization says the dumping of unwanted items, such as furniture, appliances and trash on public and private property, is a big problem in San Diego and has negative impacts on our environment and waterways.
