Description
An 18-year-old was charged with second-degree murder Monday, Jan. 13, in connection to a fatal assault in Burien.
Naim Sa'Vaughn Hicks is being held in jail on $1 million bail.
On the evening of Dec. 2, 63-year-old Steven Bird was walking with two friends in a crosswalk at Fifth Avenue Southwest and Southwest 151st Street in Burien. As the group was walking, a white SUV with its lights off drove through the crosswalk without stopping and nearly hit Bird, who is legally blind. Witnesses report the car was moving at 20 to 25 mph at the time.
