It's a new year at Arlington's Post Middle School, but the same old problems persist.
"My sixth grade teacher's room had mold in it," said seventh grader Beatrice Ballew.
"It smells. It's really nasty," added eighth grade student Valeria Pelayo. "I mean, my mom went to this school, so it's pretty old."
Post Middle School is 44-years-old. The school's ceiling tiles are crumbling, the electrical system is outdated, the roof in the gym is vulnerable to collapse. The building is ill-prepared for an earthquake and the HVAC system is obsolete. Bats have even been spotted in the building.
