Description
It's been almost one month since 54-year-old Derrick Owens was killed outside of his parked car in Columbia City on South Hanford Street.
"I couldn't believe it. I have nightmares, I get depressed, sometimes I can't sleep. It's not fair. It's not fair. He was a good man," said Mary, who was Owens' girlfriend and with him beforehand.
"He was alive and then minutes later he was gone," said Mary. She said Owens was murdered on the side of the road, "he was lying right there on this spot right here."
Mary has asked that we don't use her last name or show her face out of fear of retribution. No one has been arrested in Owen's murder.
