Description
A 13-year-old boy is in stable condition after he was injured in a drive-by shooting in Edmonds Saturday night, according to police.
KING 5 met with the boy's father outside Harborview Medical Center on Sunday afternoon, who said he had been in shock since he got the call his son had been shot.
“Devastating, my soul,” said Cesar Lagunes, the boy’s father. “It took me 20 minutes to get here. I got here before the ambulance, so everything went so quick.”
Lagunes said his son is awake, talking, and has a good attitude. He said his son was lucky because the bullet went through part of his pelvis, but did not hit any vital organs. He said his son would be leaving the hospital soon and should be able to walk in one to two weeks.
