Early findings from a study by researchers at Israel's Haifa University suggest that the MDMA and Ecstasy that Nova festival goers consumed that night may have been helpful, protecting them slightly from the trauma. "People that were under the influence of MDMA specifically while the attack occurred had somewhat of an improved clinical outcome three to six months post the event," explains Roee Admon, one of the study's lead researchers.
