Police in Australia are searching for three people accused of stealing handguns from a museum in Lithgow, Australia, on August 25, 2024.
Officers were called to the Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum in the early morning hours on August 25, 2024, after thieves broke into the building. The suspects, who were dressed in black with their faces covered, left in a silver Toyota Landcruiser, which was found on fire hours later.
Police believe that vehicle was stolen on August 23, 2024, from Nowra, Australia. Police also said the firearms are worth more than $200,000 and could be made operational.
Police said stolen firearms are a common currency among organized crime groups in the area.
