Trader Joe’s has set its eyes on Cypress for a possible eighth Houston-area store — and its third in the works in the past year. The popular Monrovia, California-based grocery store chain has applied for a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code permit for a store at 9715 Towne Lake Parkway, according to an entry in the Daily Court Review on April 1. When reached by the Houston Business Journal, Trader Joe’s Public Relations Manager Nakia Rohde said the company has plans for a store in Cypress, but she would not confirm the address or timeline.
