Description
"Don’t mess with this coastal cutie," the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department warned in a post on X.
They say southern stargazers, odd-looking fish with eyes on top of their heads, can deliver an electric shock of up to 50 volts to ward off predators.
The fish also have venomous spines above their pectoral fins that act as the first form of defense, according to TPWD.
