Julio del Carpio or “Don Julio” is revolutionizing Houston’s East End. With Old Town Harrisburg, Julio is striving to make Harrisburg a world-wide destination. Old Town Harrisburg features unique attractions like a replica of the famous Callejon del Beso (Alley of the Kiss), which attracts Houstonian lovers looking to seal their love with a kiss. Julio plans to expand his construction efforts to make his dream of reconstructing the 1836 capitol of Texas come true. Julio is striving to bring light to Harrisburg’s roots by building a replica of the capitol in Harrisburg, which was actually governed out of John and Jane Harris’ home.
