For Rosalia Chapa, “dance es mi vida.” A dancer since the age of 2, Rosalia’s life is intertwined with the world of dance. After joining her high school folklorico group, Rosalia fell in love with Mexican folk dance. Now as the artistic director of Mixteco Ballet Folklórico, Rosalia can teach Houston youth the traditions of the art form she loves so much. Since it was founded, Mixteco’s goal has been to provide Houston area youth with cultural activities that are rewarding and increase artistic awareness within the community…and Rosalia is dedicated to doing exactly that. #ShapingHouston
