A man has been charged following an apparent road rage shooting on Interstate 70 in west Columbus Tuesday morning, police say.
A dispatcher with the city’s public safety department told 10TV that the shooting happened on I-70 West near Broad Street around 7:05 a.m.
According to the dispatcher, a caller said they were shot in the face by a person driving a gold Chevrolet Equinox. The dispatcher added that the caller was driving a Ford F-150.

Another caller told the dispatch center that the two vehicles were brake-checking each other before the shooting.
The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
Sgt. Joseph Albert with the Columbus Division of Police said the Chevrolet was found around 9 a.m. and someone was detained.
Police say they charged the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Dewayne Pittman, with felonious assault.
All lanes on I-70 West at I-71/state Route 315 were closed for over two hours, but have since reopened.
