Feb. 4 on The Story: With the Oregon Legislature back in session, lawmakers are busy coming up with ways to bail out the state's ailing transportation systems. That includes passenger rail: Oregon and Washington are responsible for Amtrak Cascades, and they'll need to work together to make improvements on the rail line if they want to cut down on delays and get more trains running, which some lawmakers appear set on doing. And there's the possibility of improving or adding other Amtrak routes. But the burning question is, how are they going to pay for it?
